Kansas City, Kan-  The discussion focused on the importance of sleep quality over quantity, with Dr. Saurav Luthra and RN Tana Whelan explaining the impact of sleep on brain health.

They highlighted five sleep profiles: poor sleep and mental health, sleep resilience and mental health, sleep aids and sociability, sleep duration and cognition, and sleep disturbances and cognition.

Dr. Luthra emphasized that consistent, high-quality sleep is crucial for cognitive function and overall health.

They also discussed the role of sleep in clearing amyloid plaques, the impact of sleep apnea, and the importance of good sleep hygiene and proper sleep positions.
